📋 Scenario A gearbox bushing works loose and spins in its housing. The fix is an interference fit so it is always squeezed — even loosest housing with tightest bushing. Prove the grip, then size the shrink-fit: heat the steel housing (α = 12×10⁻⁶ /°C) so the bore grows past the WORST-case interference plus a 0.020 mm slip clearance for assembly.
