Operations

An Operation is the big one: a client hands your crew a complete terms of reference, and you deliver the entire machine — 3D conception, wiring, component selection under a real budget, PLC programming, robotics, lead times — everything, built inside Arsyn with its real editors and simulation. Crews of up to three, one deadline, a public grading rubric. New operations drop when they're ready — follow the Mission Board in Arsyn.

01

Get Arsyn

Free, local-first. Same account as this site — XP and leaderboard are shared.

02

Form your crew

Open Mission Control in Arsyn, create a crew and share the invite code (max 3).

03

Deliver the machine

Build in the real modules, prove the numbers, transmit before the deadline.

SORTLINE — Vision-Guided Sorting Cell

Design, program and prove a 4-way sorting station that holds a 3-second cycle.

0 ended

A packaging plant receives four product variants mixed on a single infeed conveyor — and sorts them by hand, three shifts a day. Management bought a camera, a 800 mm delta robot and an S7-1500 before hiring engineers; now your crew has to turn that shopping list into a cell that actually sorts 1 200 products per hour into four lanes. Miss the 3-second cycle and the upstream line backs up; jam the reject path and the whole plant stops. Design the cell, define every signal, build the logic, and prove the timing.

How It Works

01

Daily Quick-fire

A real diagnostic or design task — sensor data, alarms, schematics. 5–15 minutes. Play it here on the web, or even better inside Arsyn with the Mission HUD. No account needed; XP counts when logged in.

02

Operations — in Arsyn

A client hands your crew a full terms of reference. Deliver the entire machine — 3D, wiring, components & costs, PLC, robots — inside Arsyn. Crews of up to 3, one deadline, public rubric. Released when they're ready.

03

XP & Levels

Every correct answer earns XP. Level up from Technician to Lead Engineer. Streaks multiply XP. One account — the website and Arsyn share everything.

04

Crew Collab

Operations are built together: your crew works on the same project with shared state and live presence — the free taste of Arsyn Cloud collaboration.

For students & working engineers

Learn by solving

Real scenarios, not trivia

Every challenge starts from an actual machine, fault, or spec you'd meet on a real line — the kind of thing a multiple-choice quiz never prepares you for.

Instant, detailed feedback

Submit and get scored immediately, with the correct approach explained. Review yesterday's solution and see how the community tackled it.

Track real progress

XP, levels and streaks turn scattered practice into a visible skill curve — useful for students building a portfolio and engineers keeping sharp.

Questions

FAQ

No. Daily challenges are fully playable as a guest — you'll see your score and the solution. An account is only needed to save XP, keep a streak, appear on the leaderboard, and join operations. One free account works everywhere: this site and the Arsyn software.
Not for dailies — they play fine right here (though the Arsyn version pins the objectives next to the real editors, which is nicer). Operations are different: they're full machine builds, so they only run inside the Arsyn software. It's free.
Yes. Each challenge shows a difficulty rating (1–3 dots), and the daily rotates across topics and levels. Beginners can start with lower-difficulty dailies and use the "Practice by topic" grid to drill fundamentals like timers and I/O before moving up.
Automatically and instantly. Depending on the challenge type, we compare your PLC logic, computed values, or Structured Text test results against the reference solution, with partial credit where it makes sense. Using hints reduces the XP awarded, not the score you see.
The big team challenges, built only inside the Arsyn software: a client hands your crew a complete terms of reference and you deliver the whole machine — 3D conception, wiring, component selection under budget, PLC code, robotics. Crews of up to three, one deadline per operation, graded against the public rubric on the brief. New ones drop when they're ready.
Yes — the whole challenge platform is free, with no ads and no card required. The Arsyn software is free to use too, though it is closed source and still in development; the challenges exist to help people actually learn the craft.
